Ageing and older people have always fascinated me. Ever since I was a young girl, I gravitated towards the elderly. Eager to listen to their stories and be surrounded by an energy, only older people seem to possess.
Having worked for many years as a senior wellness practitioner, I have had the privilege of accompanying my older clients on their active ageing journey. In 2016, my interest in the societal impact of healthy ageing and social entrepreneurship lead me to pursue my Masters in Inclusive Innovation. My research explored the synergy between health, wealth and well-being in retirement with the aim of formulating prototype solutions which align financial services, healthcare and engagement wellness programmes.
As I continue on my own active ageing journey, I remain an avid yogi, a healthy ageing activist and a perpetual researcher and keen collaborator to ensure current and future elders in our societies get to enjoy a dignified old age.
